FC Porto's Iranian forward Mehdi Taremi

Sky: Milan speaking with Mendes to try lower demands for prolific Porto striker

AC Milan are keeping in contact with agent Jorge Mendes and Porto striker Mehdi Taremi is the main subject of the talks, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Sky, Milan have not yet shelved the idea of signing Taremi having been offered the striker by his entourage, given the need to reinforce that particular position.

However, Porto want €25m in order to sell him and that is judged to be excessive by the Milan management due to his age and contractual situation with just one year left on his deal there.

Milan are continuing to have contacts with Jorge Mendes – an intermediary close to the Lusitanian club – to try and lower the economic demands and see if there is further room to negotiate.

Last season, the 30-year-old Iran international played 51 games for Porto, amassing 31 goals and 14 assists across all competitions.

The season before that he has 26 goals and 17 assists in 48 games, and in 2020-21 it was 23 goals and 18 assists in 48 games.

  1. €25 million for a dinosaur…wtf are they crazy.
Get a young striker instead for that money so he can team up/develop with Giroud and Leao.

  2. If 25M€ is what everyone is asking for old players might as well buy Okafor for that. Red bull usually sell for 20-30M

      1. depends which stats you looking at.. 1000 minutes and 7 goals is pretty good.
Giroud did 13 goals in 2145 minutes and Origi did 1000 minutes and 2 goals

  3. His stats are pretty amazing!
His coach said once, he can play until 37 on high level due to his physic and intelligence.

25m it too much for 1 year lefti though.
