        1. 100%. I’ve been saying it for a while. This club stands for nothing anymore. Everyone just says business this and business that to try and justify it and yes you need to run a solid business of course but that’s all we are now. This isn’t AC Milan. We’re just another run of the mill team now with random players and everyone is fair game as long as there’s profit involved…

          1. But I’m guessing you all also criticize the ownership for not investing in players right? “Brokebird” or whatever? Is it me or is it insane to say “OUR OWNERS ARE TRASH THEY DON’T SPEND” and then turn around and say “OUR OWNERS ARE TRASH, THEY SELL PLAYERS TO GENERATE CASH”. I feel like I need a lobotomy or something. 80m for a player worth no more than 40m? Now bring me Frattesi (actually with the full national team, not the U-21s), SMS and one of Chukwueze or Guler with the cash. Because if we keep Tonali and then barely finish fourth we’ll be an “unambitious club” instead of a “club that stands for nothing anymore”.

          2. I really don’t get it. Maldini lets half the squad leave for free, new owners get 80 MILLION for one player and still you’re all whining like fish wives.

  1. Tonali would never leave Milan without being pushed to do it… he refused Barca and United to join Milan and even took a pay cut. If Maldini was still the director Milan would never sell Tonali. This is no longer Ac Milan …. This is Redbird’s toy after we sell Mike,Theo and Leao we will never finish above 7th place, it’s sad to see going back to 2012-2019 period

    1. “Tonali would never leave Milan without being pushed to do it”

OK. If you say so it must be true.

“If Maldini was still the director Milan would never sell Tonali.”
True. Maldini couldn’t sell anyone. And that is why we’re here now. Players need to be sold in order to improve the squad.

      1. bb, you are just lost. I hope you will become a proper human one day but it will be hard without those basics your parents missed. You’re like a Redbird fanboy, going around and trying to ridicule people talking against them. Pathetic, but expected for reasons mentioned in the 2nd sentence…

        1. Ah, Martin. My new best friend. How’s it been? I really miss having sophisticated conversations with you.

I wish everyone was more like you.

  2. Is Conte in Milano currently? Get him to Milano.
He is the only one that can force Newcastle not to buy Tonali. Just like he did Inter in 2020 after Tonali was all set to move to Inter with personal terms agreed and Inter close to getting a deal done with Brescia.

  3. Tonali has better numbers then Rodri who is considered the best DM right now. Then how can he be sold for 70mil while Arsenal are paying 90mil for Rice and Chelsea payed 120mil for Enzo. And some say that Brescia will take 15% of the money as well, so what does Milan really gets, some 30mil in profit when you take away how much Tonali cost them and all. O and also flushing their reputation down the drain by selling the icon of the club which will cost them more along the years. They will prob lose another 10 mil just from the drop of shirts sale since Tonali’s shirt was the number 1 sold shirt in this club. Terrible business.

    1. ”Numbers” lol. Come on, we all know Tonali is not that good. There are better midfielders on Copacabana beach right now.

      1. Tonali could find a team mate once in a season from his corner kicks. Other players can do the same in every match. That’s how special Tonali is.

But hey, Real Madrid paid 100M€ for Bellingham and we’re getting 80M€ for Tonali so they’re practically the same. Right?

      2. Yes he has better numbers, more contribution to goals…and if Tonali is that bad then why are so many big clubs after him. Chelsea want him as well, United too, last year Real Madrid. Also i have no idea from where are you all coming from with this new accounts on this page who keep bashing Tonali, but i have a feeling that you are not actual Milan fans.

        1. Or maybe, just maybe, they’re all derived from the same couple of guys. Just to push their own narrative. So it looks like many other members agreeing their view. As there’s literally no verification needed to post here.

      3. I have to strongly disagree with you there. You have clearly not seen him play. A fantastic professional and also a fantastic prospect.

      4. I have to strongly disagree with you there. You have clearly not seen him play. A fantastic professional and also a fantastic prospect.

  4. Milan fans are so pathetic. We’re getting rid of one of the most overrated players in European football and getting 70mil for it, what’s not to love?

      1. I like my team to be competitive. Frattesi for Tonali is not a step back from a footballing perspective by any means, and it may even be an improvement. Try to take the emotional attachment that we all feel for Sandro out of the equation. This would be a good deal for everyone involved.

        1. Thank you florossonero, I always suspected you are on of those so called “plastic fans”. People that want their club to win, who cares about anything else. “from a footballing perspective” You are literally a definition of that, horrible. You can reply whatever you want, facts won’t change…

          1. LOL. Were you born in the city of Milan to Milan fans? How on earth did you end up here? Or is it because Milan haw 19 scudettos, 7 champions leagues, and have had players like Kaka, Shevchenki, Maldini, van Basten, etc., etc. Like, honestly. Because if you were such a “real” fan you would be supporting your local football club, wherever that is, and that’s it. So to a degree, unless you are born in Milan, everyone is a plastic fan here. If Milan hadn’t won all of those trophies and had all of those players (the majority of whom were bought), you wouldn’t be here.

Why not go support Pro Vercelli. Did you know they are the seventh most titled Serie A side? Surely the most “real” of the top Serie A clubs too, since they’ve spent most of the last 50 years in Serie C because they never have the money to spend on players. True noble warriors they are. The only REAL club on the Italian peninsula perhaps. /ssss

      2. Why are you against improving the squad? Why all the negativity here? Fans should be glad Tonali is about to be traded up for pair of players who will help this team climb to a new level.

          1. Some say it’s the actual idiot who resort to name-calling when they run out of adequate responses.

But I still love your snarky and ah-so-brilliant response here. Went straight through my heart. Fantastic. Keep up the good work!

  5. 100%. I’ve been saying it for a while. This club stands for nothing anymore. Everyone just says business this and business that to try and justify it and yes you need to run a solid business of course but that’s all we are now. This isn’t AC Milan. 1. “This isn’t AC Milan.”

Why don’t you do something about it except bitch about here? At least some fans are happy that we’re getting a better squad for next season.

      1. 0 fans are happy about it. Here is a question for you, why are you being a redbird fanboy and keep chasing people with your useless comments? Same question like you asked, you are bitching about other people bitching and pretending like you’re doing something? People didn’t come hear to hear your stupid opinion based on what they said but you still keep doing it. 😀

Anyhow, if anyone has a need to contact Cardinale you can use gcardinale(at)redbirdcap.com, redbirdgc(at)gmail.com and gcardinale(at)bdtcap.com . I’ll get his phone number as well, it takes a bit more time…

        1. “0 fans are happy about it. ”

Are you sure? Browse through the comments and some people do see the positives here.

“People didn’t come hear to hear your stupid opinion based on what they said but you still keep doing it. 😀”
I’m here for you. Just for you.

        2. “0 fans are happy about it.”

You literally don’t even need to browse. Just lower your eyes 20 cm and you’ll see the first a happy camper saying:

“I love Sandro but he is in no way worth 80m. This is good business for everyone involved”

  6. I love Sandro but he is in no way worth 80m. This is good business for everyone involved because Sandro gets to quadruple his wages and play in the most visible league on the planet.
Anybody who watched Serie A last year will agree that Frattesi is every bit as good as Sandro so if we land him we’re getting a straight swap plus 40m to spend on other players. A dynamite piece of business that shows Milan will be more dynamic and creative in the market going forward than we have been. We’ve got more irons in the fire before the window has even opened than all last summer.

    1. Thank you for this comment. It’s spot on.

The amount of irrational whining I’ve seen on this site and across the internet among the fanbase is ridiculous.

This is good for AC Milan. It may be slightly difficult to accept upon first learning of it, but realistically it’s a huge win for the club’s ability to build a competitive squad.

      1. Yeah, what is really cool is that the number of plastic fans like you 2 is really low. Good to see, and you, well I feel sorry for you.

        1. Why do you keep harassing people here? Why can’t you let them be?

Fan is fan. Even a plastic fan. Right? Most fans are in fact plastic. Got any fans running at home btw? It’s getting so hot you’d probably want to turn on the fan, right? Martin, my man, How are you? Would love to have a conversation with you again.

  7. Some fellow here keeps pushing the narrative that Tonali is money hungry. Well, he’s entitled to do that. After all, he does the work and if you find a better employer who offers better wages, you make the switch.

But let me recall a scenario that played out a couple of transfer windows ago. Milan wanted a player in the French league called Romain Faivre, a RW who played for Brest. An offer was made, just slightly under what Brest wanted. Milan was holding out.

Faivre decided to ‘force’ the move. He said some things to the press and even refused to play a match for fear of getting injured and jeopardizing the transfer. Neither Milan or Brest bulged from their position.

Deadline day, Milan had a plane ready to fly Faivre. Something stupid happened and Brest took Faivre off the market. They were prepared to lose him for free because he still a contract. It was deadline day, Milan could only turn to Messias Jr.

With Tonali, we can make all sorts of assumptions. It’s however safe to say, that Newcastle had to contact Milan first. Transfer is yet to open officially and you can’t contact players who have contracts. Am I correct? There’s a law against contacts outside of the window, except with free agents.

So, Newcastle asks Milan. Milan wants to know what Newcastle is willing to offer. It sounds good, so Milan sends for Tonali’s agent. Milan can take Tonali off the market. Tonali cannot force a move. He has more than three years on his contract.

All this talk about Newcastle tripling his salary is irrelevant. Milan chose to sell rather than take him off the market.

Whether it turns out good or not, time will tell; but to make false claims and try to paint Sandro Tonali as a snake shows you how retarded some people are in their thinking.

  9. Anyone who said tonali overrated need to know that he won us rhe scudetto in 2022. Thats one fact. I watch all milam game last season. I can say there are no one that works as hard as tonali on the pitch. Anyone who said he workrate alone do not know football. Rjikard gullid ambrosini gattuso may not win balon dor but without them we will never wom cl. I dont watch frattesi last season. But i remember piatek. Where is he now? Ie been supporting this club for more than 30 yrs and will continue support to the bottom. I only wish tonali the best if ihe gets sold but selling an icon like tonali is not a good business. Its a gamble. If things dont workout with the replacement. I think im gonna miss the hype we get for the last 3 yrs since we got so many fans right now. Many will be heartbroken and will stay at home again instead of going to the stadium. Success will bring more fans. Kids nowadays supporting premier league not just because of the league but also because of trophies. Anyway, lets hope for the best. Moneyball is a science anyone xan learn and do it. But whta makes leipzig different than muenchen or even madrid is traditiom and sometimes it not about making any money because its not just a business they said it in milan. We are family. Lets hope we succed so the private equity can sell our club to the rightfull owner

  10. Tonali case remembering me how much love nesta with his club lazio. He sacrifice himself to joint milan in order to help the club. So milan now have big money and tonali have big salary 10m / year. One hit wonder for his lifetime. Hehe
