Sky: Only two guaranteed starters for Milan under Giampaolo

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Marco Giampaolo sees only two players as untouchable in his starting line-up, a report claims.

Things have not been easy for the new boss to start the season, with two defeats in his first four Serie A games, including only two goals with just one coming from open play.

Giampaolo has attracted a lot of criticism from fans and pundits alike for his team selection and lack of a clear tactical approach.

La Gazzetta dello Sport even stated earlier on Monday that the decision to start Lucas Biglia over Ismael Bennacer in the derby against Inter upset the club’s hierarchy.

According to Sky Italia (via Calciomercato), there are currently only two irreplaceable players in Giampaolo’s starting XI: Gigio Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli.

All the rest are viewed are viewed as interchangeable, and reports from il Corriere dello Sport suggest that a number of changes could be made for Thursday’s trip to face Torino.
