It seems like it has been a busy day at Casa Milan as the AC Milan management have made progress on three different potential signings, according to a report.
The latest from Sky this evening states that Strahinja Pavlovic is currently expected to be the second summer signing after Alvaro Morata. The final details are being agreed upon with Red Bull Salzburg, and the defender has already said no to Atletico Madrid’s advances.
Not only that, but the Rossoneri are also getting closer to signing Emerson Royal from Tottenham too. Salzburg and Spurs are clubs that are difficult to negotiate with, but the distance is narrowing by the hour after positive talks with both.
On the Lazar Samardzic front, Milan are also moving forward. The Serbian is considered the ideal playmaker for Paulo Fonseca’s system – implying he will use a 4-2-3-1 and not a 4-3-3 – while Udinese value him at €25m, but work is ongoing to find a meeting point.
However, it is not all good news because Sky confirm Di Marzio’s report regarding Youssouf Fofana. Manchester United and Atletico Madrid have now entered the race for the Frenchman and that has seen his asking price rocket to €35m, forcing Milan to look into alternative targets.
I hope this falls flat on Monaco’s face! Hopefully they will lose him on a free next summer or perhaps we go after him in January and offer 10 million euros. Ah the French….

Well, actually, we do need an RB. Because we just lost two CBs (Kjaer and Simic) and Thiaw is being heavily linked with an exit, and at the moment we’ve only been linked with one incoming CB. We need at least one more, and if there are no links with new players it can only mean that Kalulu will revert to CB, despite earlier reports that Fonseca liked him at RB. Finally, Florenzi also looks like departing and that Jimenez and Terraciano are not ready/convincing. So that means we need an RB to backup/compete with Calabria, whether it Royal or someone else.
Even if DiMarzio is lying, can these rookies just close the bloody deal already. I’m quite sure that the report was Kalulu get back to his natural position as an RB. So, plus Calabria we are well covered there. We have abundance of CB, so when Pav comes, we need to ship out someone from that position.

We have Thiaw, Tomori and Gabbia right now if Kalulu will play RB as many reports indicates.
Thats 3 CBs compared to the 6 we had last season (Pioli saw Kalulu as more of a CB then a RB + Kjaer and Caldara) plus we had Simic to call on if needed.

If they for some reason buy Emerson Royale for the RB position im assuming Kalulu will be CB after all, and then Tomori, Thiaw, Pavlovic, Gabbia and Kalulu would be enough CBs for the season.
