Sky: Pioli has one doubt ahead of Salernitana trip as 4-3-3 returns

By Oliver Fisher -

Training got underway at Milanello this morning in view of Friday night’s game against Salernitana, and some clues arrived regarding the team that will be used.

According to what is being reported by Sky (via MilanNews), Milan should return to using a back four and Simon Kjaer should be alongside Fikayo Tomori as the two centre-backs, with Theo Hernandez on the left and Davide Calabria returning from suspension to take his place at right-back.

Up front there is room for the usual trio of Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao. Noah Okafor will miss the rest of the calendar year, but Luka Jovic and Samuel Chukwueze will be available off the bench.

The only doubt about the starting line-up is in the middle of the pitch. Rade Krunic and Yacine Adli are in the running for a starting spot alongside Tijjani Reijnders and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Ismael Bennacer is still not back to 100% and he should therefore begin the game on the bench.
