Sky: Pioli will decide between Kjaer and Thiaw for Genoa clash tomorrow

Stefano Pioli has more or less decided AC Milan’s starting XI for the game against Genoa tomorrow. However, there is one battle at the back that the manager is yet to decide, a report claims.

The Rossoneri played just two days ago and have had just one proper training session ahead of tomorrow’s game. Some rotation is expected, therefore, and it seems Pioli has decided to start Alessandro Florenzi, Yacine Adli, Samuel Chukwueze and Noah Okafor.

According to Sky Italia, via @M4rkPhilips on Twitter, Pioli is still evaluating the centre-back pairing. Fikayo Tomori is certain to play from start but the manager is considering playing Simon Kjaer instead of Malick Thiaw, but the latter is ahead right now.

A decision will likely be made tomorrow. Given the defensive success as of late, it’s almost certain that he will go with the German but compared to the other positions, the battle has not been fully decided yet.
