Sky: Probable Milan XI to face Napoli – Pioli settles on his line-up after Friday training match

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli appears to have decided on his starting XI for Sunday’s game against against Napoli after Friday’s training session.

According to reports from Sky (via MilanNews), Pioli wanted to see a training match with the starting XI and there are no surprises in the line-up expected to take the field against Napoli.

Ante Rebic has been training well these past few weeks and also this afternoon. Rafael Leao on the other hand has undergone some therapy on the thigh injury he sustained with Portugal U21s and will not be available for the game at the San Paolo.

Milan will be led out by Daniele Bonera given that Pioli and his assistant Giacomo Murelli are both COVID-positive, and the back four is likely to consist of Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Alessio Romagnoli (who has now recovered from his flexor problem) and Theo Hernandez .

In midfield, it will be the immovable pairing of Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer, with Alexis Saelemaekers (also back available), Hakan Calhanoglu and Rebic in behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
