Sky: Rafael Leao given ultimatum to prove he has a part to play in Milan’s future

By Oliver Fisher -

Rafael Leao has 11 games to convince AC Milan that they can count on him for next season under a new project, a report claims.

The return of Serie A for Milan on Monday night also saw Leao return to the scoring sheet as he netted the fourth goal in the Rossoneri’s 4-1 victory over Lecce, his first goal since the one against Cagliari on 11 January.

The 21-year-old has often been criticised by fans and the media for a lack of consistency since his arrival from Lille, and there have also been questions about his attitude.

According to Sky Italia (via MilanLive), Leao has 11 games available to convince Milan to bet on him for the future. Even if the club understand he has important qualities and room for improvement, the Portuguese starlet must improve in terms of consistency and incisiveness in his performances on the field.

Stefano Pioli himself invited Leao to offer more and not to be satisfied with one goal, and now the attention turns to a huge game against Roma at San Siro where Milan may again be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
