Sky: Romagnoli could renew Milan contract as ‘there is still a chance’

By Isak Möller -

There have been many rumours about the future of Alessio Romagnoli in the last few months, as the centre-back’s contract with AC Milan will expire this summer. However, it seems he could remain after all.

The captain hasn’t been a regular starter for Milan this season due to injuries and also the brilliant performances of Pierre Kalulu. And with Sven Botman allegedly arriving, a departure seemed to make sense for Romagnoli.

However, as reported by Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Romagnoli could stay at the club. The renewal negotiations aren’t completely dead yet and ‘there’s still a chance’ he reaches an agreement with Milan.

It remains to be seen how the saga will end but it’s clear that Romagnoli will have to fight very hard for a starting spot, should he remain at the club. Not only because Kalulu has been brilliant lately, but also because of Botman’s potential move to the club.

  1. Romagnoli extension Will make botman deal collapsed. That Will make kalulu cannot play his natural position on RB

    1. You love Botman don’t you? Guy is overrated. He’s good but overrated. Also hes not playing so hot this year without Maignan in goal eh?

  2. A captain that does not play on the pitch is not worth the $2-3M salary. He have to take a massive pay cut to around $1-1.5M
