Sky: Sigh of relief for Milan ahead of Inter clash as all players on international duty test negative

There is positive news for AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli as all players returning from international duty have tested negative for Coronavirus.

Inter will be without a number of players in midfield and defender as Radja Nainggolan, Milan Skriniar, Roberto Gagliardini, Alessandro Bastoni, Andrei Radu and Ashley Young have tested positive for Coronavirus.

For Milan, they have recently welcomed Zlatan Ibrahimovic back after he overcame the virus, but Matteo Gabbia and Leo Duarte are still testing positive.

According to reports from Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Milan were able to welcome back the 12 other players who had been away on international duty for their country, which you can read a full round-up of here.

In order to resume training however all players had to undergo a COVID test, and they all came back with negative results with allows Pioli the breathe a huge sigh of relief ahead of the weekend’s crucial fixture.
