AC Milan are expected to keep both Brahim Diaz and Junior Messias at the club for next season, according to a report.
There has been some speculation that both could leave this summer as both have struggled for consistency throughout the campaign, even though Brahim Diaz is on loan until summer 2023 and Messias has an option to buy.
According to Luca Marchetti of Sky (via SempreMilan.it) the idea of both of them staying at the club does not currently seem to be at risk because the Spaniard can essentially stay for another year for free and the other would only cost €5.4m to buy, with Milan having already paid €2.6m for the loan.
Meanwhile, whether or not a right-back is needed will depend on Florenzi who is on loan from Roma, but Marchetti added that he has impressed during his stay so far and therefore appears more likely to be bought than returned to the capital.
I think keep all three. Depth is good and both are cheap
Diaz is better off the bench. You let him sit for 60 minutes and hope he can come in and provide a spark. He’s not a starter, though, except maybe against lesser clubs.
Messias is not a true starting-caliber player in Serie A but has shown nice moments and can bring energy when he comes on. Like Diaz, he is okay as a sub. I don’t know about the $$ for him, though. I think he’s worth a little more than the 2.6 already paid, but not the remaining 5.4.
Florenzi should absolutely be kept. His skills and versatility are key. He can play in all areas of the field and has put in some very good showings.
We need to keep all 3 but we need to get a number 10 who is a starter
All three are good rotation players. Keep ’em and spend the bigger money on starting-11 players. No need to splash out on reserves and I don’t think they could find a better player with Florenzi’s quality/price ratio.
Keep them. All three of them gave important goals and assists while not as many as Leao.
Keep Brahim as a back up. He is on a cheap loan for another year.
Messias can go . Those 5+ mil that Milan needs to pay crotone should go towards getting a better starter.
Florenzi good locker room presence bringing experience. His production on the field, He is always injured , i think he had 2 surgeries where he missed a month plus on each. He cant play as a full back anymore. But he can be useful of the bench when goal is needed with his offensive skills. Keep
We don’t need Messias, why would we keep him with Saelemakers and plans to buy another RW. While Florenzi played that position more than once if necessary. Waste of money. Other 2 we should 100% keep, Florenzi permanent, he has earned it and Diaz at least as backup until next season.
