AC Milan believe that the European Super League is a ‘great opportunity’ and they feel happy to have been chosen as a founding member, a report claims.
The world of football is experiencing chaos at the moment after the joint press releases last night from a number of clubs which formalised the creating of the Super League.
Milan, as well as Juventus and Inter, published on its website a statement in which they were confirmed to be a founder club. The press release highlighted the reasons that led the Rossoneri to join the Super League, which are mostly due to economic security.
For the moment, no further communications have arrived from Milan regarding the Super League. We contacted them for comment, but there was no reply. However, it seems as though Manuele Baiocchini has gained some insight as he reported for Sky Italia.
When asked if Milan are happy with the outcome and the invention of the competition, he stated: “Probably, there is not even the will of the protagonists to talk about it but to concentrate only on the league. What filters is that it is a great opportunity and there is satisfaction for having been chosen,” he said (via MilanLive).
