Alessandro Florenzi stained an injury during AC Milan’s game against Bologna yesterday and will be forced to undergo surgery tomorrow. It looks like he could make it back before the end of the season, though.
The right-back received a blow in the 85th minute of the game last night but continued playing for another 14 minutes (eight minutes of stoppage time). Tests were carried out this morning and they revealed a lesion of the internal meniscus.
Florenzi will undergo an arthroscopic surgery tomorrow and has already arrived in Rome for it. As reported by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, the recovery time is still uncertain but Stefano Pioli is hoping to have him back for the last two games of the season.
In other words, the games against Atalanta and Sassuolo could be when the experienced Italian has recovered. Of course, it will depend on the surgery tomorrow and only after then will we know for sure.
