Source claims Chelsea have made €27m bid for Milan forward as Spurs open talks

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have received an offer from Chelsea for striker Krzysztof Piatek, one source claims, with reports claiming Spurs are also in talks over a deal.

We reported earlier on Sunday via our mercato correspondent Vito Angele that Piatek is pushing to play having lost his spot in the starting XI for the time being, and he is happy to accept a move away if the right opportunity arises.

Sky Italia’s Luca Marchetti (via MilanNews.it) than claimed earlier on Sunday that Spurs have reopened dialogue for Piatek and there have been new contacts with Milan for the Poland international.

Transfer source Louis Girardi has provided a shock piece of information though. He also cites the Sky Italia report claiming that Spurs are back in talks over a possible deal, but he adds that Milan are asking for more than the €27million that Chelsea have already bid.

Although The Athletic recently claimed that Piatek is attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United, Spurs, Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham United, Chelsea have not been linked since October.
