Sport: Milan and Arsenal interested as €60m man annoys Real Madrid with off-field conduct

AC Milan and Arsenal remain interested in the idea of signing Luka Jovic from Real Madrid this summer, a report in Spain claims.

It is no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for a new centre-forward ahead of next season amid doubts over the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic – the club’s only recognised striker.

Among the names repeatedly linked with a move to Milan over the last few weeks has been Luka Jovic, who has struggled since his big-money move to Real Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer but is still the club’s first choice target as per multiple outlets.

According to the paper edition of Sport on Tuesday – as cited by SportWitness – both Arsenal and Milan are ‘interested’ in the 22-year-old, who has two goals and two assists in 24 appearances in all competitions this season.

Los Blancos are annoyed with his conduct off the field, as he broke lockdown rules to travel to Serbia from Spain, apparently for his girlfriend’s birthday. The report adds that he ‘skipped quarantine’ in his country, and now it has emerged that he fractured foot allegedly came about because a wall fell on it.

Nonetheless, the two aforementioned clubs appear willing to give the Serbia international a chance for a fresh start after a difficult year.
