Tuttosport: Atalanta man ready for last game against Milan before joining the Rossoneri

By Oliver Fisher -

It will be a strange night for Marco Sportiello as he will face off against AC Milan at a stadium that will soon be his home in San Siro, a report claims.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), this will be the last game between Milan and Atalanta that Sportiello will play on the side of La Dea as the two teams will face off tonight at San Siro in a crucial game for the top four battle.

The signing of Sportiello’s pre-contract with the Rossoneri is expected in the next few weeks, as the veteran Italian will replace Ciprian Tatarusanu, whose contract is also expiring this summer and will not be renewed.

Sportiello will arrive on a free transfer and will become the new deputy to Mike Maignan, who should start for Milan tonight and make his return after over five months out due to calf problems.

  1. Very strange feeling. Tata is starting to find his feet as backup keeper and he is going away. Typical story at Milan. Once good, ready to leave for free.

    1. hes a 37 yo gk. what money you think milan would get for him if they had an option to sell him?
I just hope they learned a lesson and wont sign traditional keepers anymore if play style requires a modern one.
Sportiello is known to come of the line when need be
