Report claims Spurs could let €60m man go with Milan, Inter and Roma keen

By Oliver Fisher -

Spurs are considering letting Richarlison leave in the summer and AC Milan are one of three Serie A clubs interested in signing him, a report claims.

Tottenham’s season hasn’t gone exactly as expected as they are sat in sixth place in the Premier League with 57 points, having also been eliminated from all the other competitions including the Champions League at the hands of Milan.

Spurs have not won a trophy since 2008 and that drought seems set to continue, with the Antonio Conte fall-out and subsequent departure perhaps a perfect symbol of how the club have been run recently.

Il Romanista recall how Richarlison is also synonymous with the failings of the north London club as he was bought from Everton for nearly €60m last summer but he has just one goal in the league (which arrived only a few weeks ago) and two in the Champions League.

For this reason, the 26-year-old could leave the club on a loan with option or obligation to buy, a formula that is usually tempting to Italian clubs who do not have the liquidity to throw around like English sides.

Both Milan and Inter are aiming to add a new striker in the summer, while Roma cannot be excluded from the race in the event that they have to sell Tammy Abraham. Developments are expected in the coming weeks, with the Brazilian striker one to watch.

  1. Almost as many points as Milan and Tottenhams coach has lost two coaches during the season. Although that was probably mostly Contes own fault. But their season is definately considered a flop.

  2. Well coming on a loan with option to could be good has that we could put more money for other positions and if he came good till next summer we could sign him if not we can send him back and look elsewhere for our nº9!

  3. If this guy wears the black and red color, I stop supporting Milan.

I’ve always said this even before this new development

  4. When we fail to qualify for UCL, 600k will be too expensive for us.

We need to be realistic here. Only way we’re getting something new is if they are free, or dirt cheap and even that can only happen if we sell some of ours first.

There is still hope UEFA or courts will remove Juve from our path, but we still need to keep that 4th spot (current 5th), and the way we’ve been playing, its gonna be a challenge. Lucky for us others are clowning as well (Roma, Lazio and Atalanta mainly).

  5. Thankfully this will never happen because Milan will not spend $60M in an entire transfer window anytime soon, let alone on one player. Richarlison is massively overrated and Spurs have realized that. Good luck getting rid of him.

  6. Loan with obligation to buy. We cannot send him back to spurs if he play bad, his salary more than 10m euro +++ nett in spurs, how AC Milan can pay that ? This rumour just trash

  7. I think we should focus on qualifying for the champions league first before we think about any CF

Everybody knows how Milan owners spend money, not to talk of when we don’t qualify,By then the owner will have to some excuse for not buying quality players when the transfer windows open

  8. This guy is a very good player. He kept Everton in the Prem. He does it for Brazil. Yes, he’s had a bad season, but then so did most at Spurs. Its unlikely we could afford him permanently, but if he fancies a loan away from Spurs we should go for it. He can play upfront or left or right, and would WALK into our starting 11, miles ahead of Arnautovic – who i dont think would be a bad buy for us.
