Pierre Kalulu has been a key player for AC Milan this year and his market value has subsequently skyrocketed. One year ago, the French youngster wasn’t even a cemented starter for the Rossoneri.
Due to an injury crisis at the back, Kalulu was given the chance by Stefano Pioli for the second half of the 2021/22 season. He did incredibly well alongside Fikayo Tomori and was a key player for Milan in their Scudetto journey.
As highlighted by Serie A’s official Twitter account, Kalulu is the best Serie A defender in one key aspect. In fact, this year, the centre-back has been dribbled past the least (3 times) among defenders that have played at least 30 games in Serie A.

At the age of 22, his market value is now quite high and that is a huge success for Milan as they signed him for a mere €500k. It remains to be seen what the future holds for him, but Milan can be calm as he recently renewed until 2027.
