Photos: Stats show Chaka Traore’s growing importance for Milan’s Primavera side

Chaka Traore has started this season in tremendous fashion, being one of the stars of AC Milan’s Primavera side, and the stats certainly back that up. In fact, it remains to be seen how long he will stay with the youngsters.

The 17-year-old arrived for a fee of €600k from Parma a little over a year ago and already back then, he was regarded as a great talent. Since then, he has been working with Milan’s Primavera side and he has started this season very well.

In 12 appearances thus far, Traore has amassed five goals and three assists for Ignazio Abate’s side. And as compiled by Scout7Calcio, he ranks among the best (sometimes the best) in several areas among the players in Primavera 1.

With these stats in mind, it remains to be seen how long Abate will get to keep Traore. As long as the first team has Rafael Leao, though, it’s likely the youngster will continue his development with the Primavera but a loan move could also be an option.

  1. Let him there until he’s a bit older than 18 then send him on loan. That way he is technically, mentally, and physically ready for the next step at pro level to gain playing experience.

  2. My only concern is he’s a bit short. He has time to grow. If he was taller, I imagine he’d be in the squad next season. Going on loan to another Serie A or Serie B club is a waste of time. Pobega is one of the only players I can think of who has improved on loan. Playing in the UEFA Youth League is far better for development.

    1. Colombo is hardly getting any playing time at Lecce (but scored a hugely important goal against Napoli), Maldini has been injured a lot at Spezia.
