Igli Tare immediately got to work on the job of rebuilding AC Milan, and he met with Roma director Florent Ghisolfi on Monday.
According to MilanNews, Roma’s sporting director Ghisolfi showed up at Casa Milan to discuss the future of Alexis Saelemakers with the Rossoneri management, just a couple of hours after Tare had been officially announced.
The Belgian ended his season-long loan with a goal against Torino – the seventh of his season – and now the two clubs must come to an agreement. In the loan swap that took place last summer, no option to buy was included for Saelemaekers nor Tammy Abraham.
Milan and Roma meet over Saelemaekers
In the meeting, Ghisolfi reiterated Roma’s intention to retain Saelemaekers for next season. It is also an opportunity for Milan to make a capital gain with a permanent sales, after the excellent season that the winger had.
Calciomercato.com report that Roma’s CEO Lorenzo Vitali and another director in Simone Ricchio were at Casa Milan too. The Giallorossi’s top brass learned that a significant offer is needed for Saelemaekers, above €15-20m.
After this first exploratory meeting in which the cards were put on the table, new meetings between the two managements are planned for the next few days. Roma are keen to close the deal, but there are still details to be resolved so more discussions are required.

THE ONLY PLAYER WHO SHOULD LEAVE MILAN IS LEAO, HE’S THE MOST USELESS PLAYER I HAVE EVER SEEN PLAYING FOOTBALL FOR MILAN.
