Telefoot: Milan edging closer to completing deal for No.1 January target – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are proceeding to try and close the deal for Mohamed Simakan and have narrowed the gap with Strasbourg, a report claims.

A statement on Strasbourg’s official website yesterday claimed that Simakan carried out tests on Monday which determined he must undergo an arthroscopy which will keep him away from the field for a period of about two months.

However, we have since spoken to his agent who confirmed that while the decision has been made to do the small procedure in the best interests of the player, it is nothing serious and a winter move cannot be ruled out.

According to Telefoot (via MilanNews), Milan and Strasbourg are closer to finding an agreement for Simakan, confirming the defender suffered an injury a few days ago but remains the Rossoneri’s priority to reinforce the defence.

The gap between offer and demand has narrowed and for this reason the deal could quickly unlock.
