Arsenal could miss out on the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos as AC Milan are looking to hijack their move, a report claims.
The Rossoneri were heavily linked with a move for Ceballos last summer but he ended up joining Arsenal on a season-long loan, and now the Gunners are understood to be keen on making the deal permanent.
However, Milan are once again in need of midfield reinforcements and according to a report from The Telegraph they are once again keen on the idea of signing Ceballos.
The paper claims that Arsenal were in talks with Real Madrid about a new deal for the Spaniard but the exit of Raul Sanllehi has delayed everything.
It has allowed Milan to formulate their own loan offer for the 24-year-old, with Paolo Maldini and Ivan Gazidis mentioned as leading the talks.
Ceballos amassed two assists in 24 Premier League appearances this season for the north London club.
