The Times: Milan striker emerges as a name on Man Utd’s wish list

Manchester United have Olivier Giroud on their list of possible targets to reinforce the attack, according to a report.

It has been widely reported that the Premier League side are in the market for a new centre-forward given the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, with one of the targets being Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt, but the high asking price is complicating things.

According to The Times, is a striker that United ‘have had on their radar’. The 36-year-old has played in the Premier League before for both Arsenal and Chelsea, and played a key role in Milan’s Scudetto win last season.

He is out of contract at the end of the season which would mean he is available on a free transfer should his deal run out. However, the report adds that Giroud is expecting to receive a new contract offer from Milan and would happily stay at the club.

  1. Here’s random take that in no way reflects my opinion of Giroud.
Man U offer more money than makes sense for Milan to pay a 36 year old. Because of this Milan is forced to bring in a new striker finally addressing the position for the long term.
However Man U aren’t interested in him this report is just bs as all other Milan transfer stories.
