In the 1-0 win over Napoli we saw yet another excellent performance from Theo Hernandez as he continues to show himself as one of the very best in his position.
MilanNews reports how Theo has been at the centre of the Rossoneri project since day one after he was convinced by Paolo Maldini to leave Real Madrid and move to Italy in the summer of 2019. He has always been a great professional and now he is enjoying all the fruits of the hard work that started years ago.
Theo firmly believes that he can become one of the best full-backs in the world if he is not already, and it is also clear that Maldini saw the right qualities in him. Head coach Stefano Pioli then worked on him as a player and he took on all the guidance.
Not only is he devastating going forward – with 4 goals and 9 assists so far this season – but he also seems safer and more secure in defence. He is removing some of the previous mistakes from his game while remaining virtually unstoppable when he bombs up the left.
He got a deserved renewal recently and he is appreciated by the whole Rossoneri management from his team-mates to the coaching staff and the leadership. Theo in the second half of the season so far has won 63 duels out of 89, 54 out of 75 on the ground and has 11/15 successful dribbles. Somehow, he is getting better.
