GdS: The three former Milan players aiming for victory with Monza

By Euan Burns -

Three former AC Milan players will be in action against the Rossoneri on Saturday evening when they face Monza at the U-Power Stadium, a report explains.

As has been detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mattia Valoti, Matteo Pessina and Andrea Petagna will all be hoping to get one over on the club they used to represent.

Valoti signed for Milan back in 2011 but he never made an appearance for the first team. He had multiple loan spells at Albinoleffe before signing for them permanently in 2014. He once admitted that he asked Zlatan Ibrahimovic if he remembers him and the Swede said yes.

Petagna won titles with Milan’s youth teams and made his debut for the first team in 2012 against Zenit in the Champions League. He was eventually sold to Atalanta and always has a point to prove against Milan.

Finally, Pessina grew up in the Monza academy but moved to Milan in 2015 for €30,000. He never made an official debut for the Diavolo though and was sold to Atalanta in 2017.
