TMW: Atalanta consider €25m-rated Cutrone to replace Zapata

By Oliver Fisher -

Atalanta are considering a move for AC Milan striker Patrick Cutrone in the event they lose Duvan Zapata this summer, a report claims.

Zapata has had a phenomenal season thus far for the Bergamo club, netting 22 times – the second most in Serie A – and adding seven assists.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Zapata could leave Atalanta this summer in the event that an offer of around €50million comes in.

As a result, La Dea have already turned their attentions to possible replacements, and Cutrone is well within their sights.

The operation is described as ‘feasible’, with the 21-year-old having scored just nine goals in 42 appearances this season.

Cutrone has very much played second fiddle this season, firstly to Gonzalo Higuain and then to Krzysztof Piatek.

The Rossoneri currently value their Primavera product at €25million, but a loan with right of redemption cannot be ruled out.
