TMW: Contacts resume between Milan and Rangnick; parties closing in on agreement

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have resumed contacts with Ralf Rangnick over taking a role at the club this summer, according to one journalist.

There are conflicting rumours among the papers in Italy at present regarding whether Rangnick will arrive this summer, with some claiming that there has been a pre-agreement since December while others deny its existence and insist the situation is entirely up in the air.

Sky Italia reported earlier today that Rangnick is in fact in pole position to take over from Stefano Pioli, but then the German himself came out and denied the existence of any agreement with Milan.

According to the latest from TMW’s Enzo Bucchioni (via MilanNews), Gazidis is putting in place the new AC Milan management team for next season and after the dismissal of Zvonimir Boban.

Contacts have resumed with the man who will lead the new course in Ralf Rangnick. There is still no signature from the former Leipzig coach, but the plan has been refined and the agreement is now in the air.
