TMW: Deulofeu further away from Milan return as Napoli and Gattuso make their move

By Oliver Fisher -

Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso has approved the purchase of Gerard Deulofeu meaning a Milan return has moved further away, a report claims.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reported earlier in the month that Deulofeu would like to return to Milan this summer after Watford’s relegation to the Championship.

Deulofeu’s will is very clear and his message has also reached Casa Milan, but for the moment the management are committed to reinforcing other roles.

As a result, other clubs have been able to swoop in and register their interest, with Sevilla among the teams most concretely linked.

According to the latest from TMW (via MilanLive), Deulofeu’s Italian adventure could resume at Napoli. The Neapolitans first want to sell some players and then complete the attacking department with new signings.

The Spaniard has been identified as an ideal reinforcement and even coach Gennaro Gattuso said he was happy to welcome the former Rossoneri player.

Deulofeu could join Napoli on loan, with Watford looking forward to get rid of his huge €3.5m net salary.
