Lucas Paqueta seems destined to leave AC Milan in the upcoming transfer window having fallen down the pecking order, a report claims.
According to TMW, the Brazil international was one step away from his farewell in January but interest from abroad and even from Roma never materialised so he ended up staying with the Rossoneri.
However now Paqueta’s Milan adventure seems to be moving towards the end credits after what will likely be an underwhelming 18 months. He was bought for €35m from Flamengo and was expected to be a cornerstone of a project that Milan has now seemingly veered from.
All the possibilities related to his farewell are evaluated. Roma and Fiorentina could once again emerge as potential destinations, while there has been talk of a possible exchange with Benfica involving Florentino Luis.
What appears irrefutable is that the current season, when it resumes, will represent the last segment of Paqueta’s time in Milan.
