TMW: Ibrahimovic key as Milan are confident of closing deal for winger ahead of Man Utd

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are hoping to close a deal for Bodo/Glimt winger Jens Petter Hauge by Wednesday with the player having accepted the move.

According to a report from TMW (via MilanLive), Milan want the 20-year-old having been very impressed with his performance at San Siro on Thursday night, but their scouts had previously followed the player.

The management started negotiations and, according to the report, the Norwegian talent have given priority to Milan. The player’s entourage and Bodo/Glimt are waiting for the next moves of the Milan management, but the impression is that a total agreement will be found on Tuesday or at the latest by Wednesday.

Contacts between the parties continued on Monday to try to find an economic agreement. At €5million there is the possibility of closing, but it is to be understood whether the player would join immediately or whether he would be allowed to finish the season in Norway before joining in January 2021.

On Hauge there are also Manchester United, Manchester City, Brighton and RB Leipzig. However, the Scandinavian talent is attracted by the possibility of joining Milan. The project convinces him and he would like to play with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
