TMW: Maldini has concrete interest in €30m Marseille star – the potential formulas

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market for a young midfield reinforcement and Paolo Maldini has set his sights on Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara, a report claims.

TMW claims that Kamara is one of the first profiles on Maldini’s wish list ahead of the window opening, with Milan’s need to sign a midfielder quite obvious given that in January Kessie and Bennacer will leave for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The management are looking for a midfielder who can strengthen the squad, and Kamara has long been liked by Maldini who followed him closely last year, and the lunge could come in the next few weeks.

There are some obstacles though, such as competition from the Premier League, the possibility of an auction and also the €30m starting price tag. For this reason, Milan are expected to try a formula based on a loan with option or obligation to buy, or failing that a deferred payment over several years. Details and strategies still to be defined, but Paolo Maldini’s concrete interest must be registered.

  1. I am 100% sure Maldini doesn’t know this player and if he knows him we doesn’t have 30m to spend on this fucking player we could sign De Paul with this money.
