TMW: Interest of ‘many’ top clubs a testament to rejuvenation of Milan star Tomori

By Isak Möller -

Fikayo Tomori has been one of the best players for AC Milan this season, finding his way back to the Scudetto-season form after a disappointing 2022-23 campaign. As a result, several Premier League clubs will attempt to sign him in the summer.

Last season was a tough one for Milan especially defensively, failing to live up to the standard set during the Scudetto campaign. However, the Rossoneri have somewhat found their way back, even if recent injuries haven’t helped the situation.

Tomori has been the best defender so far and Milan are relying on him to lead the defence, no matter who’s beside him. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the latest success hasn’t gone unnoticed as ‘many’ Premier League clubs are ready to make a move in the summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham were mentioned in the report and this is a testament to Tomori’s strong season so far. He has a contract until 2027, though, and Milan have intention of letting him go.

Tomori himself is very happy with the club and owes a great deal of gratitude to the Rossoneri, who signed him when he was an outcast at Chelsea.

  1. Does this article say Milan have intention of letting him go?! Like sell him?! Or are the people that right these articles illiterate?

  2. Hes been our best defender this year imho, even though its early in the season. But he can be error prone on big occasions as we saw last year.

If the recent mercato was anything to go by, the board will make one high value sale a year to cover the amortisation of several transfers. I could see Tomori going for a nice profit, if someone meets their asking price. A bit like Tonali last time.

PL or even Saudi clubs will probably come sniffing. I’d hope for 60m+ and likely we’ll ask for 80mn euros.
