TMW: Milan centre-back reflecting on future as offers from two Serie A clubs arrive

By Oliver Fisher -

Two Serie A sides are keen on the idea of signing AC Milan defender Matteo Gabbia on loan, according to the latest reports.

The 20-year-old made his first appearance of the season last Wednesday as he replaced Simon Kjaer for the final eight minute of the Rossoneri’s 3-0 win over SPAL in the Coppa Italia.

It is a possibility that Gabbia may be allowed to leave on loan this month if the club deem it a good idea for him to get more playing time, despite the fact that the coaching staff decided to keep him around beyond the summer to let him develop with the senior squad.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Rossoneri have received two serious loan proposals from clubs in Serie A, namely Parma and Sampdoria.

Both are seeking defensive cover with the latter in a relegation battle as it stands, and both would like to take Gabbia on loan in order to assist his development.

The Italy U21 international has not made a decision yet, but the player is certainly carefully considering what is the best thing to do for his future.
