AC Milan face competition from Fiorentina in the race to sign Inter winger Matteo Politano this month, according to a report.
On Wednesday night, Gianluca Di Marzio broke the shock news that Politano has agreed to move across the city divide and join the Rossoneri from the Nerazzurri.
Pictures have emerged proving that the 26-year-old’s agent – Davide Lippi – was at Casa Milan on Wednesday to meet with the Milan management.
According to TMW – as cited by MilanNews.it – Politano seems destined to leave Inter this month, as his skill set is not deemed much use by Antonio Conte who has thus far preferred to us a 3-5-2 formation – or one without natural wingers at least.
The former Sassuolo man wants to go back to playing consistently and the report adds that Milan are indeed interested in signing him, however Fiorentina are also in the running to land him.
Inter for their part have already opened the doors for his depature, but in doing so have named their price: it will take an offer of around €25m for the Nerazzurri to let him leave, as that ensured they will not make a capital loss on the balance sheet.
