TMW: Milan could go back in for Fiorentina centre-back who can leave for €14m

AC Milan could go back in for Fiorentina defender German Pezzella as they close in on his potential replacement, according to a report.

It is well documented that Milan are in the market for a new centre-back as at the moment head coach Stefano Pioli can only call upon Matteo Gabbia and Simon Kjaer.

According to the latest from Enzo Bucchioni for TMW, Milan will use the extra €15m in revenue earned from passage into the group stages of the Europa League to try and address the issue.

First on the list is Bologna’s Takehiro Tomyasu, but the asking price is €25m and the Rossoneri management do not seem willing to offer above €15-16m.

Schalke’s Matija Nastasic is also in the sights, but there could be a possible rekindling of the flame surrounding Fiorentina’s German Pezzella.

The Argentine is a profile that coach Stefano Pioli really likes as he knows him well from his time at Fiorentina and also the Milan boss would like to bring experience to a young team.

If Pezzella asks to leave, then Fiorentina will let him go for €14m and in this sense they already taken precautions by accelerating for Lucas Martinez Quarta of River Plate.
