TMW: Milan fix the defence – Chelsea striker to arrive next as Calhanoglu saga rumbles on

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are closing in on the signing of striker Olivier Giroud as the next addition of the summer transfer window, it is claimed.

Milan have already spent over €40m in June to buy Mike Maignan and sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent basis, but it seems to be a necessity for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to strengthen the attack with some players who guarantee not only goals but also availability from a physical point of view.

According to the latest from Enzo Bucchioni on TMW, Maldini and Massara feel like they have fixed the centre-back department for next season after paying €28m to sign Tomori from Chelsea, and now they hope the next signing will be Giroud.

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri leadership are also waiting to put an end to the Calhanoglu saga, but there is now one less option for them to replace him as Rodrigo De Paul is heading for Atletico Madrid.
