AC Milan are in talks with the agent of midfielder Franck Kessie over the extension of his current contract, according to a report.
The Ivorian seemed certain to be sold in the last January window and the summer before that, but has since formed a fantastic and reliable double pivot alongside Algeria international Ismael Bennacer and his stock has never been higher.
According to TMW, contacts are in progress for the renewal of his contract, which is set to expire in 2022 as things stand. The outlet adds that the parties are moving towards an extension until 2024 even if a definitive and total agreement is still missing.
The talks start from a good base due to that fact that the idea of all parties is to continue together, and it is possible that there will be new contacts during this week and over the international break to try and move towards a resolution.
