TMW: Milan to make new attempt for Florentino Luis despite Chelsea midfielder’s arrival

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still interested in signing Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis despite Tiemoue Bakayoko’s imminent arrival, a report claims.

According to TMW, Milan are always very active in finding players useful for Stefano Pioli’s squad and the name at the top of the list is that of Bakayoko.

Chelsea have opened up to the idea of a loan with option to buy, the same formula that the Rossoneri are planning to ask Benfica for Florentino Luis, who has been overtaken on the wish list but is still very much considered a target by the management.

Premier League side Fulham have also made a similar proposal for the 20-year-old but a new bid from Milan is expected.

Meanwhile, it also remains to be seen what Milan’s plans are for the full-back positions as Serge Aurier appears to be moving further away, while a deputy for Theo Hernandez is needed.

Obviously it will be necessary to establish the future of outgoing players such as Davide Calabria, who has offers from Spain and could change clubs.
