Tomori confirms his intentions regarding renewal: “I like everything about Milan”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has made it clear that he wants to sign a renewal at the club amid reports that there are talks underway.

There is no doubt that Tomori has become an immovable part of the current Milan side under Stefano Pioli, becoming a bedrock of the defensive department that was a real strength in the run to winning the Scudetto last season with nine clean sheets in the final 11 games.

A number of sources are claiming that Milan want to reward the Englishman for his development. For example, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that talks have been progressing since June for Tomori’s contract extension with Milan. Not only that, but he adds that the Englishman is ‘in love with the club’ and is also ‘prepared to stay for many years’.

Tomori was interviewed this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport and addressed various topics and among the questions there was one about the potential of him extending his stay at the club.

“Do I want to renew? Yes, I like everything about Milan, even the city, the Champions League nights… Now, however, I’m focused on the pitch, we’ll see for things off the pitch,” he said (via SempreMilan.it).
