AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has given some insight on two of the new additions, and offered an update on how the preparations for the new season are going.
There is no doubting that the defensive department became the real strength of Milan during last season’s Scudetto win as the Rossoneri let in just two goals in their final 11 league games, with nine of those being clean sheets.
It is thanks to Tomori and his centre-back partner Pierre Kalulu that Milan were so tough to beat, as the Englishman and the Frenchman formed a duo that was almost impossible to get past.
Milan decided to do something a bit different at their preseason camp as they pulled Tomori and Kalulu to one side for a question and answer session based on what fans had asked on social media. SempreMilan.it transcribed the responses of the Englishman.
How is the preseason going?
“Everything is fine. We are here to train. I feel good. It is nice to be together, it is important to find a team spirit on and off the pitch.”
What struck you about Milan?
“When I arrived, I immediately understood that I was at a great club. They welcomed me well, I felt good on the pitch too. I want to continue like this.”
What music do you listen to?
“Theo, Maignan and Leao are the ones who play the music. I really like music.”
How important is it to know each other well?
“We are a team. When we are on and off the pitch we talk a lot with everyone to get to know each other better.”
First impressions of Origi and Adli?
“I played against Origi, I know he is strong and fast, he knows how to score. Adli is younger, but in training I have already seen that he has quality. He wants to learn. It is good to have two players like this in the team. they are two strong players.”
What did Ibra say the first time you met him?
“I often saw the videos and photos of that day. It is still a great feeling, but we know that we are already in a new season. It is always nice to see the joy of the fans.”
What was the game that gave you the most satisfaction last season?
“Lazio. It was an important game, after that game we won them all.”
What effect did seeing the San Siro full have on you?
“I’m English, the fans are different. Here you live everything with more passion. The noise of the full San Siro is impressive.”
How do you communicate with your team-mates?
“We speak in Italian or English, which is easier for me”.
How has the summer been for you?
“I was with my friends in California. After the Scudetto it was a great summer.”

“I’ve read a few names on social media. Let’s let the fans choose it.”
