Tomori ‘happy with the point, but also disappointed’ after Dortmund game

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori believes that the second half performance was a big improvement from the team, though they were unable to break the deadlock against Borussia Dortmund.

Both sides had big chances in both halves to win the game, with Olivier Giroud perhaps having Milan’s best opportunity in the first half and then Samuel Chukwueze had a couple off the bench in the second half.

It is another point and another clean sheet for the Rossoneri, who now sit third in the group with two points, two behind leaders Newcastle United and one behind PSG who they play away and home in the next two games.

Tomori spoke to Sky after the game to try and dissect what was a night with positives and negatives in a very daunting atmosphere, and his comments were relayed by MilanNews.

“In the first half we missed some out balls and we couldn’t go deep or look for spaces between the lines,” he began.

“In the second half we did better in my opinion, we had more opportunities to score. I think we can be happy with the point, but also disappointed because we could have won.”
