AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori thanked the fans for their contribution during the 1-0 Champions League win against Napoli last night.
Milan will take a one-goal lead to Naples next week as they beat Napoli 1-0 at San Siro in the first leg of their UCL quarter-final, and it was Ismael Bennacer who got the only goal in the latter stages of the first half.
Tomori spoke to Milan TV at the end of the match to analyse what was a crucial victory in the scheme of the tie.
“We are happy with the result. We are well aware that the job is not finished, we must be ready for the next match. But we are focused on Bologna, after which they will think about Tuesday,” he said.
“Entering the field with these fans is a special emotion. They give us confidence and give us emotions that allow us to go onto the field with energy and give our all. When the fans are like this in a game like this, obviously we are more excited.”
