Tomori relishing chance to face Arsenal and Liverpool: “I can’t wait” – video

By Oliver Fisher -

Fikayo Tomori believes that AC Milan’s mid-season training camp in Dubai and the friendlies they will play should have a positive impact in terms of raising the levels.

Today is the first full day for the squad in the Middle East as they prepare for friendly games against Arsenal on the 13th and Liverpool on the 16th, before returning to Italy on the 20th. Tomori gave an interview to Milan TV on the first day of training camp in Dubai, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

What are your initial feelings about restarting training?

“It was a good restart after a small break. We are happy and ready to train. The weather is different from Milan. We are happy to be here. We are a little tired, but happy.”

Did you find time to rest?

“I relaxed. This season is like this. Now we have to be ready for the next matches. I can’t wait to play the first match in Salerno. Today we got Bennacer and Bakayoko back and some players from the World Cup. We are ready and excited.”

What was the effect of seeing the others again after a while?

“It’s only right that we had time to relax and recover, but now we have to work to be ready for the first game.”

Milan will face Arsenal and Liverpool in Dubai…

“We are well aware that Arsenal are having a very good season in the Premier League; I know their players and also those of Liverpool. Playing against two teams like this is the best way for us to prepare: they are strong, so we can pick up the rhythm and the winning mentality, understanding where to improve for the games after the break. I can’t wait to play.”
