Tomori suffers muscle injury during Salernitana game as Milan’s total hits 30

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan suffered yet more injury woes as Fikayo Tomori went off during the second half of the dramatic 2-2 draw against Salernitana at the Stadio Arechi.

Milan had to settle for a 2-2 draw against the bottom-placed side Salernitana on Friday night, with a late Luka Jovic strike earning them a point in a game that was otherwise very frustrating.

Tomori went off during the second half of the game clutching his hamstring after chasing his man to the byline, and he had to be immediately replaced which suggested it was a muscle issue.

As MilanNews report, Tomori’s problem means that Milan have suffered their 30th injury of the current season: 21 players out of the 27 available in the squad have been impacted, meaning only six players out of 27 have not.

Tijjani Reijnders and Olivier Giroud are the only two regular starters have not yet suffered any physical problems this season.

  1. Hope he’s okay cause we already lost Thiaw, Kalulu, and Pelegrino. But if he can’t play against Sassuolo, then either Kjaer-Simic or Kjaer-Theo at CB.

    1. Rather Kjaer-Simic
Theo leaves to much space at the back when he played at CB, he stills makes his forward runs and seems like players are to slow to cover that open space

  2. So we don’t count Kjaer’s as injury? I’m pretty sure he was taken off due to the knock on the head and that should count as one too.

But let’s take a positive approach here. Pioli is making records here. WIth this pace Milan is bound to break every record for injured players during one season.
