Watch: Tonali, Bennacer, Brahim, Leao and Saelemaekers’ highlights vs. Napoli

There were a number of AC Milan players who stood out during the win against Napoli as the league leaders were beaten 4-0 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Rafael Leao ended his goal drought with a brace in which both goals were lovely finishes, while Brahim Diaz got the second on the night and Alexis Saelemaekers got his first league goal of the campaign in the second half.

The compilations from the game start with Sandro Tonali, who got an 8 out of 10 in our player ratings: “Sandro is back. It was a tremendous display in the defensive phase and Milan’s third goal was a prime example of that, winning the ball back after a tough duel and then setting up Leao with a lovely pass.”

Brahim Diaz got an 8.5, and was man of the match: “What a game from the Spaniard. His quick feet were showcased on the first goal (with a lovely assist) and he then calmly slotted home the second. After tonight’s display, one can understand why Real Madrid want him back.”

Leao got an 8.5 too: “Rafa is back. We finally got to see him on the left wing again and he really showed why that is his best position. It was a lovely dink to open the scoring and his second goal was even better.”

Saelemaekers got an 8 for his cameo off the bench: “He looked like Messi out there tonight as he scored a lovely solo-run goal. He then attempted a long-range effort that forced a good save out of Meret. Above all, though, he was always present and found a way out of the press.”

Finally Bennacer, who got a 7.5 in a more advanced role than usual: “Most of us thought he would be in the tandem, but he did really well in the No.10 role instead. He helped set up the second goal and was always available (more or less) when his teammates needed an option going forward. This game was won in the midfield.”
