Tonali: “I’m growing game after game but what counts is the growth of the group”

AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali has insisted he and his team-mates are ready for the challenge posed by Sassuolo despite the current injury crisis.

He spoke to Milan TV before the game against the Neroverdi, insisting that the team have prepared in the best way for the game.

“We are doing well. We trained in an excellent way and knowing that it is not an easy opponent. It is a game that is worth a lot and we must all work together towards the right path,” he said.

“What matters is that we know that we are a team and we face the difficulties all together, from the staff to those who are not called up.”

On the fans and his growth: “The support of the fans is wonderful. I’m growing game after game but what counts is the growth of the group.”

He also spoke to Sky Italia before the game about the absence of Ibrahimovic.

“Ibra is definitely the pawn who wins games, he helps you in all phases. He is a leader on and off the pitch, we rely on him a lot. We must be a team without him even in times of difficulty, we try to maintain our identity and continue on this path,” he said.
