Torino have reportedly set their sights on signing AC Milan midfielder Warren Bondo, but they face strong competition to land him.
Bondo arrived at Milan on deadline day in the winter transfer window with the label of being deputy to Youssouf Fofana. However, he joined with an injury and barely got any playing time under Sergio Conceicao after recovering, leading to question marks abut his future.

Bondo in demand
According to Tuttosport (via CuoreToro) this morning, the summer wndow promises to be crucial for the future of Torino, determined to turn the page after a disappointing season. The Granata management are working on numerous exits, and they want to sign a midfielder too.
In midfield, several key farewells are looming, both for sporting and economic reasons. Among the possible departures are Karel Linetty, Adrien Tameze and Samuele Ricci, with the aim of lightening the wage bill and cashing in useful resources for the incoming market.
Bondo is one of the names they have evaluated as a target and he will be evaluated by Massimiliano Allegri in preseason. However, there is the knowledge that if the Frenchman stays at Milan he will probably spend a lot of time on the bench.
Il Toro have reportedly asked for information on the feasibility of the operation, but it is still all in progress. Milan bought him in January for €12m, while Genoa, Bologna and Fiorentina are also credited with interest.
The headline on the front page reads: ‘Not just Ricci. Toro-Milan: there’s also talk of Bondo’. It’s no secret that negotiations have been underway for some time between Milan and Torino for Ricci, so he could be involved in the talks.

I would sell Bondo but I wouldn’t buy Ricci. Bouaddi or Malik Tilman are better options. Only Rovella is worth buying and Lazio won’t sell him.
Ricci is overrated and not worth the 35/40m Torino wants for him. Allegri likes Bouaddi so I hope they sign him instead of Ricci.
Zion tilman is great player but check his injury status the guy is like Glass 5 games from whole year is madness

10 – 15 million would be more than enough, with Bondo going the other way. I hope he accepts to join Granata (more playing time). I also hope that we have a plan to create a new pillar of our midfield, after Modric leaves, in Ricci. I believe that Pobega and Colombo are the type of (squad) players that Max likes.
Let’s see if Furlani et al are smart enough to offload Musah to Napoli, Bondo to Torino, Chuck and Tomori to an EPL club, RLC to Lazio (wet dream to add cash and get Rovella, if they agree and get convinced). Leoni is also a must! Then focus on 2 decent fullbacks (plenty Italians in Serie A). I doubt anyone would be worse than Emerson, which should be sold as of … yesterday! Jimenez and Bartesaghi complete the department. With solid defense and proper midfield, our attackers will flourish!
Keep Bondo, forget about Ricci. You don’t need a midfielder that just passes the ball laterally or backward, especially not for the price Torino wants for him.
That’s the problem with young Italian lplayers. They overrated and overpriced. It’s hard for Italian team to buy them except for Juve and sometimes Inter. Once you buy them, you realize they weren’t worth the money spent on them and can’t sell them.
Exactly! The pressure is enormous. Still, they need time, trust and guidance. Who was Pirlo and Gattuso before AC Milan? A failure and an unknown! With Seedorf they were the perfect midfield! With Abro and other random squad players they got the job done! That’s why the Italian National team is having troubles as of late. Just change the rules for foreigners and taxes, to support La Nazionale and Serie A! The rest of the world wants to watch “Italian” calcio!
We have tried a team of foreigners, look where it got us, 8th place and no Europe, obviously not working, in the past we have always been a team of a strong italian core mixed with classy imports, time to get that strong italian core back

You guys just going circle. Just tell the truth: Italy don’t have those types of talents players anymore in their academies. That’s why when they have one who has little bit of talent they overevaluated and they become talents which never devlop into a world class. The only world class Italy has now is Donnarumma. It’s not because of a lack of rules on foreigners. Spain, England, Germany, France…have a lot of foreigners in their teams, that doesn’t stop them from good National teams. Inter, Lazio used to have a lot of foreigners but Italy was still one of the best Leagues and the National teams was also good.
I didn’t understand the Bondo purchase at the time. I still don’t understand it now. If he’s a bench warmer, he won’t improve. Might as well offload him, along with the rest of the bench players that won’t improve.
