La Stampa: Torino keen on re-signing Milan midfielder but deal will be tough

By Oliver Fisher -

Torino have not yet given up hope of re-signing Tommaso Pobega after having him on loan last season but a deal seems unlikely at present, a report claims.

According to what was reported today by La Stampa (via MilanNews), Torino have not abandoned the idea of a return for Pobega. The midfielder spent the entirety last season on loan with the Granata under Ivan Juric, and they would gladly welcome him back.

The newspaper adds that Pobega seems to have been displaced by Aster Vranckx in the pecking order at the moment and in the 2-1 win against Salernitana on Wednesday he was left on the bench for the fourth consecutive game.

Nonetheless, a deal for Pobega seems complicated at the moment because Milan are unlikely to let him leave. The 23-year-old has made 15 appearances this season across all competitions, scoring his first senior goal for the club in the Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb.

    1. His valuation hasnt dropped in fact its as high as ever before according to transfermarkt,
Anyways i wouldnt sell him as he is a young and homegrown talent with room to further develope so unless an offer was too good to reject id deffently keeo him for years to come and hopefully the management sees it the same way,.

  1. Been saying Slowbega needed to go for quite some time now. But I gave the benefit of the doubt to see if he would make progress as the season went on, particularly when it comes to speed…and he hasn’t. His only use now is the homegrown requirement while on the bench. Otherwise sell him. It’s only at siempre he gets hyped up.
