Torino manager discusses ‘difficult’ Milan clash and the future of Pobega

By Isak Möller -

Torino manager Ivan Juric spoke to the media earlier today in the usual pre-match conference, as his side will take on AC Milan tomorrow evening. He had words of praise for Stefano Pioli’s side.

Milan are eager to bounce back from their 0-0 draw against Bologna on Monday evening and Torino are coming off an important 1-0 win at Salernitana. But while Il Toro don’t have that much to play for still, the same cannot be said for the Rossoneri.

During his press conference (via MilanNews), Juric obviously shares his thoughts on the game and he had words of praise for Milan, having watched them live against Bologna. He also spoke about the future of Tommaso Pobega, on loan from the Rossoneri.

“Facing the big teams? I’m sorry for the draw in the last big game against Inter, but tomorrow we will try. I saw Milan live, they are really strong.

“We will try to face them in our own way, we have to do our best because they have so many options: they have scored a lot away, it will be very difficult.

“Olimpico is sold out? There will be many AC Milan fans, we have to be honest. I have always said that we have low attendance. I hope it will continue like this, even if the stadium will be full because there will be many Milan fans.

“Pobega? He has given us a lot, even if stopped by some problems. I like working with him, he really wants to improve even if technically he must take steps forward. He will return to Milan, then we’ll seem” he concluded.

It remains to be seen what the outcome of tomorrow’s game will be, but it’s clear that it won’t be a walk in the park for either side. It’s difficult to imagine that Milan can replicate the 7-0 win of last season, in other words.
