Transfermarkt: Where the value of Milan’s squad ranks among Serie A rivals

As they do each year around this time, Transfermarkt have compiled the evaluation of all the players who make up the squads of the 20 Serie A teams.

As per the source (via SempreMilan.it), the entire Milan squad is worth a combined €574.10m and is in second place in Serie A behind only champions Napoli, who have a team that is worth €577.55m.

Milan and Napoli are the only squads worth over €500m. Inter are in third at €493.35m, then is Juventus on €470.8m, Atalanta at €337.25m and Roma at €332.15m.

Going into detail, Rafael Leao is the player with the highest market valuation among the Rossoneri squad at €90m, and behind him is Theo Hernandez (€60m) and Mike Maignan (€45m).

Among the newcomers Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze stand out, with all three worth €25m as per the Transfermarkt algorithm.

Other squad data includes the fact that Milan have 31 senior players in their squad, at an average age of 25.6 (only seven teams in Serie A are younger) and with a league-high 24 foreign players.

Charles De Ketelaere will soon disappear from the list of Milan players given that he is currently undergoing a medical before he joins Atalanta on an initial loan with option to buy deal, but he is down as being worth €22m which isn’t far off the buy-out figure.

    1. That’s his market value, the same as Donnarumma. Just because a club pays 90m for a player doesn’t mean he’s actually worth that, see Harry Maguire
